One more week to 8th Dec (SAT).... which marks our flagship concert featuring local musicians - LGF & 黑森林!!

Current confirmed RSVPs include a local Film Director (who is sourcing for a rock song to be featured in his new film!), Channel 8 Entertainment Producers and the Editor of Straits Times & HomeTeamNS!

This week, publications such as Shin Min Daily, 8-Days, U-Weekly, I-S Magazine, LIME, NTUC Lifestyle, FIRST and Timeout will carry our event feature.
We are also in midst of securing feature in daily publications such as Straits Times, Zaobao, Wanbao, TODAY and My Paper.

And we did not forget the growing media source (online media) as the event is being listed in websites such as Soft.sg, Channelnewsasia, Audioreload,Youth.sg and Timeout Singapore.

Just got a news that U-Weekly will be featuring this event line-up too!
Great! Choices Magazine will also be publishing their event photos for post-publicity!
Haha..soo many media coverages...

I heard that some Mediacorp personnel (from Channel8) will be coming down to watch the concert too.....A local film director may be down to check out the bands as they are looking for rock material for their upcoming film...
Wow...happening..happening...

Gosh! This is sooo COOL!!!

2nd Audition for Hark Performing Team

Last Friday, we had an Audition for Hark Performing Team. We have selected some instrumentalists (pianists & guitarists) to come back for a 2nd Audition this coming Friday...

They need to present 2 songs of different styles..to show their versatility. And, they will be 'tested' on their chords progressions and accompaniment styles on the spot.

Oh, if you are thinking that it would be really stressed for them.....erhhhmm... well, we need to know their capabilities before any 'assignments' can arrange.. right?

Haha...for those selected, do not over-stress yourself, ok?
Just practice what you've learnt so far, and present your best!


Live! Concert @ Hark

In about 3 weeks time, we will be staging our very first Live! Concert - featuring local bands, LGF & Black Forest. Exciting.....

Many media has nodded to feature this event line-up. 8-Days, I-weekly, IS Magazine, Lime, NTUC Lifestyle, First, Timeout.....So many! More to come, too!!

Omy.com has also agreed to feature the concert videos.
At the sametime, we are inviting reporters & journalists to attend the concert on 8 Dec too!

Oh...Facebook is such a great site!!!! We loved it!!!!!

Through Facebook, we can communicate so directly with people...So much better that Friendster!! :P (recently, so many Filipino, Indonesians in Friendster, asking to be fans...don't know why...)

Protect your Voice!

It doesn't matter if you are a vocal student or you are intending to take up vocal lessons, our 'talking instrument' is very important to us, as we speak everyday!

We have an instrument which is truly indispensable. We only have one, we can't replace it when it's damaged.

Here, we've found a video which is very enlightening.
Which may probably makes you think twice, if you wanna abuse your voice in future. (singing excessively, singing without proper guidance, talking too loudly without proper support, straining your larynx, etc)

For those who have attended vocal lessons, you may have already know all those theories behind vocal anatomy and the importance of breath works.
Now, you get to really see it! It'll definitely add on to your vast knowledge!

Just a reminder, it may be disturbing for some initially, but I say, it's very enlightenining to see your vocal cords, right in their 'face'!

Many have been asking us what's the Audition for Performing Team all about?

Here's a little explanation…

Basically, we are gathering our students to be part of this “Hark Performing Team”, (as in like Team Singapore) where they will then be divided into various groups consisting of guitarists, pianists, vocalists. These unplugged groups will practice, together with pointers and guidance given by our instructors to build a performance-ready repertoire.

Through such activity, you will have a more purposeful goal to further improve and make good use of what you have learnt, bringing your music level to a greater height!

Many performing opportunities will await you…both in-house-organized-shows or outdoor events for product launches, etc.

At the same time, you'll get to know more friends who shared the interest and passion in music! Isn't that great?

Other than all these, you'll benefit from discounts off course fees & recording sessions, and you may even get paid for performing at commercial events!

This may also be the step for you to get into the music industry!
