A Featured Performance

SATURDAY OPENSTAGE - 22 Nov
A weekly music affair for Hark Students & Alumni

A rousing event for Hark's friends last Saturday too....

This time, I am going to feature an exceptional performance by one of our Artiste-In-Progress, Elena Goh.

She was the first performer of the show. She made the show's opening, and it was superb. She even had a great opening pose!

She designed her own image, put together the eye-catching outfit and danced to her song. She said it was her first time, but she looked confident! *Thumbs up!*

She swirled...

She sang! - 大风吹
The performance earned the loudest applause throughout the 3-hr show.
But definitely, it makes no wonder why. :)
Thanks Elena, for the wonderful performance. Keep it up!

As promised, captures on last Saturday performance at Jurong NLB by our Performing Team Students.

Updates from last Saturday’s OpenStage (15 Nov)…
A weekly music activity organised for Hark Students & Alumni. Every Saturday @ 3pm.
FREE ADMISSION

It was a full house!

From 3pm, we had Vocal students performing. We made it like an interactive session where we had comments from the audience after each item. Constructive feedbacks were shared among all to let performers know their areas for improvement. And yes, some students really sang well! Good job, students!

Straight right after the class performance, our guitar instructor, Jenix Ee gave a 自弹自唱 60 mins… Audience was memerised by her soothing vocals and of course, the ability to sing and play. But….not only that, we also managed to arrange some impromptu ‘Unplugged Karaoke’! Some students were called up on stage to sing without any ‘rehearsals’.
Wow…That was fun~!

[Our guitar instructor, Jenix gave a 1-hr performance of her favourite repertoire.]

[An impromptu performance! By our vocal student, Bernice.]

Last one hour, our performing team came into action.
They came down from a performance at Jurong National Library in the early afternoon…Photos are still ‘processing’, I will try to upload soon! :P

So, in all, it was an interesting session.
Looking forward to this Saturday again. :)

Saturday OpenStage
We have specially organised this weekly music affair for all Hark Students and Alumni.

1st November 2008 marked the first launch of this event. Everyone enjoyed themselves. Between 3-4pm, we witnessed the first training showcase of our Artistes-In-Progress (2nd batch), where the audiences voted for their favourite top 3.

After the showcase, our Hark Performing Team performed a series of chinese & english pops in unplugged arrangements!
With the bubble teas in hand, coupled with such atmosphere, it was clearly like a 民歌餐厅... so cosy, so light-hearted on a weekend afternoon..

We got some feedbacks from those present and this was what they said...

"It is fun and relaxing to come here with my classmates. We enjoyed the performances put up by fellow students. We will come back next week again. -by peifen"

"Wah..I didn't know the Performing Team students can play and sing so well! It motivates me to practice more! Hahaa.... - by wilson"

Check out a small little snippet captured on last Saturday. It was Eugene (Vocal), Liling (Piano) and Weiqi (Guitar) rendition of 'Now & Forever'.

I will be posting some photos later. Come back again!

Oh ya, we welcome all to come to this activity. It's Free Admission and you can bring 2 guests!
For a limited period, we are giving away FREE Bubble Tea to the first 10 audiences.

See you around in Hark!
