Happy 2009!
We are invited to perform at Ngee Ann Polytechnic on 8 Jan 09. during their 2009 Open House fiesta.
Our instructors - Alex, Celeste, Shawn together with our Music Director, Amos put up an interesting line-up of songs...
曹格 - 3-7-20-1
周杰伦 - 说好的幸福呢
方大同 - 爱爱爱 (Female, acoustic jazz version)
熊天平 - 火柴天堂 (Rock/Hip Hop, with rap!)
Oasis - Don't Look Back in Anger
林俊杰/蔡卓妍 - 小酒涡
新不了情 (Pop/Hip Hop)
etc...
Audiences enjoyed it, there were even screams of awe from them. (heard that it came from a non-chinese!) We were totally delighted.
It was a rare chance, where the instructors took time out of their busy schedule, to practice and rehearse, putting up shows with fresh new arrangements..
We are all excited about this and are contemplating to do a concert, in Feb 09 to present an inspiring music extravaganza to you! That will be awesome, isn't it?
Hopefully, I will be publicizing this event soon! *wink!*
Meanwhile, enjoy these little photo snippets captured that day in Ngee Ann Poly...

OUR MUSIC LEARNER'S TESTIMONIALS!
" I was really excited when after months of procrastination, I finally signed up with Hark Music. And I am glad I did. Not only are the staff friendly, my vocal coach is also thorough and patient in her classes.I can go on and on but the bottom line goes:Here is what Quality is really about. I'm happy to be part of Hark Music and will never hesitate to bring my friends down!Thank you Hark music!!!!!! "

" Hark Music has really helped to broaden my music knowledge. I have taken almost every course available (Vocal, Keyboard and Guitar) and I can say that they have a very systematic way of teaching. The syllabus is very well-planned too! At the end of the course, one can definitely self-teach to further understand music. Afterall, learning is a life-long process! "
Joel Ong, Vocal, Pop Piano & Guitar Student
" I have been a part of Hark Music for the past four years. I must say that it has changed a lot in these four years. I remembered the first time I went to Hark Music they only occupied the second floor. There wasn't even a first floor! And performances are held on the second floor, so everytime students came for lesson when there are performances, they feel very paiseh for interrupting the performances. But that was in the past.Hark Music has grown a lot since then...expanded to two storeys...introduced a cafe...then took away the café and *tadah* transformed it to the performing studio you see now. Well, Hark Music has come a long way since it first started. They have a blog now, more opportunities for students to display and cultivate their musical talents, more rooms for more classes etc. Hark Music is a good learning ground especially for beginners with no musical background. I hope it will continue to expand and reach out to all music lovers."
